During a November 2020 broadcast, Pastor Chris told millions of followers that hatred of Trump is actually hatred of Christians, framing Trump as a protector of the faith.
“He pointed out to me, he says, 'the last trump there means second Trump.' And he says, 'The man himself is a sign.'”
In February 2025, Pastor Chris claimed God revealed to him that 'the last trump' in 1 Corinthians 15:52 literally refers to Trump's second presidency, and that Trump is a divine sign of the rapture.
“If you are a Christian, better know this. Don't think that if we just get Trump out of the way then everything will just calm. It will not be calm. They hate you and he seems to protect you, that is the problem.”
Pastor Chris warned his global audience that removing Trump would not stop what he characterized as persecution of Christians.
