Served on Trump's Evangelical Executive Advisory Board and was one of the earliest prominent evangelical leaders to endorse Trump in 2016, famously claiming Trump had accepted 'a relationship with Christ' and was 'a baby Christian.' He passed away on August 21, 2025 at age 89.
